One of the things that Covid-19 pandemic couldn’t stop were the online events. All the physical events were moved into the online sphere and GEOBIM 2020 conference was one of them. The GEOBIM 2020 conference initiated a dialogue on the preparedness of the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industry in using integrated geospatial and BIM technologies along with other digital technologies (or 4IR technologies) and collaborative workflows.
On December 3rd, DUET was presented by its coordinator, Lieven Raes from Informatie Vlaanderen, Belgium, at the session Innovating the Built Environment with Digital Twins. Lieven discussed about the Digital Disruption of Urban Decision Making and he shared what it means to build a digital twin for better policy making.
